Underground Safari – Part 1
Walking through Munich’s subway stations revealed great examples of “underground” architecture. This first part of the “Underground Safari” series covers the stations St.-Quirin-Platz, Candidplatz, Mangfallplatz, Wettersteinplatz and Kolumbusplatz, all situated on the U1 track.

Gorgeous.. I’ve been to Germany a couple of times but have not had the pleasure of visiting Munich – maybe in December when I go again. Is this typical of the Munich underground?
Well, some of the underground stations are really well done. Beautiful examples of conetemporary urban architecture. Others are of course … old school.
