Always searching for new trends and the evolution of marketing (especially social marketing) I recently rediscovered the phenomenal thoughts of John von Neumann, stated in his ground-breaking works on game theory.
Applying game theory and furthermore market sociology to modern marketing and brand building brings us closer to what the internet right now is calling Gamification. I call it Social Gaming and it’s nothing less then the biggest shift in social marketing as we know it. From followers and fans to actively engaged players.
